A symposium jointly convened by the Sainsbury Research Unit and the Département de la recherche et de l'enseignement at the Musée du Quai Branly. This took place on Tuesday-Wednesday 17-18 June 2008 to coincide with the opening of the exhibition, Polynésie: arts et divinités 1760-1860 at the Musée.
