Grants
An endowment from the Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Art Trust, made in 1986 partly funds the Research Unit, and includes provision for postgraduate grants, scholarships and fellowships. The deadline for consideration for MA scholarships is 1 March in the year of application and 17 February for PhD scholarships. Please contact the Admissions Secretary for further information.
MA Scholarships.
For MA applicants, UK/EU or overseas, the Research Unit is able to offer several scholarships annually. These range from awards, covering fees and living expenses, to study allowances. All MA students receive a travel allowance to cover visits to museums, exhibitions and conferences in London and elsewhere.
Arts and Humanities Research Council.
The SRU as part of the School of World Art Studies and Museology benefits from a block grant allocation by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Full scholarships, including fees and living costs are available to UK/EU applicants for MA places at the SRU.
University of East Anglia Scholarships.
A variety of awards for UK/EU and overseas candidates are offered by the UEA's Arts and Humanities Faculty. Applicants to the SRU are eligible to apply for these.
