    • My research focuses on different themes. First, I will look at the chronological and spatial occupation of the site of Tambo Colorado (Pisco Valley, Peru). This site is mostly known for its Inca palace that played an important role during the Inca conquest of the South Coast of Peru. Before its Inca occupation, Tambo Colorado was occupied by different cultures: Paracas, Nazca and Ica-Chincha.

I will use Tambo Colorado as a case study to answer my second research question that investigates how the Incas modified the landscapes of the places they conquered and then appropriated it for their political goals. My research will look in particular to the material  of the Ica-Chincha culture and how it evolves with the Inca conquest. I will be conducting surveys on the site and excavations. I hope to create a digital map of Tambo Colorado, using GIS and photogrammetry. This will help me to get a better understanding of the chronological and social occupation of Tambo Colorado.
